YOUR ADVENTURE. YOUR BUSINESS.

A little clarity about privacy.

Chale Quest uses a nickname and a private explorer key instead of requiring an email address. A nickname is public-facing identity, not a guarantee of complete anonymity to infrastructure providers.

Your explorer key

The browser stores a random installation ID and a separate secret in site storage. The secret is used to authenticate a session; knowing the public ID or nickname is not enough. Treat site data as private. Clearing it, changing browsers, or reinstalling can lose access. Browser identity is best effort and cannot prove that a person has never played before.

What is saved

The game service saves your display name, chosen avatar or optional small profile image, quest progress, XP, referral milestones, and simulated transaction records. Earlier device-only demo data remains separate and is not trusted as new reward claims. There is no public player directory or live player map.

GPS and maps

Your browser asks for location permission when you check in or collect. Coordinates are sent to the game service to evaluate proximity and freshness. Raw GPS coordinates are not retained in your saved progress. Map tiles are provided by OpenStreetMap and receive ordinary network requests for the area displayed. Hosting and service providers can receive standard request metadata such as IP addresses.

Camera and profile pictures

The encounter camera starts after an explicit action and permission. It requests no audio, records no photos or video, and uploads no encounter footage. Tracks stop when you close, choose fallback, or leave the view. An optional profile photo is different: only a file you deliberately choose is resized to a small square, re-encoded without its original metadata, and uploaded when you save your profile. Choose a predefined symbol to remove the saved photo.

Rewards and invites

All MoMo balances and payouts are simulated. No payment account is connected. Invite and daily bonuses are XP only and carry no cash value. GPS and browser camera checks do not provide secure proof of physical presence.

Your choices

You can browse public stories without an explorer session or device permissions. You can decline camera access and use the labelled treasure view; new claims still require GPS. You can change your display name, symbol, or selected photo in your profile. Keep the private key to retain account access.

This page describes the current preview. Before real-money rewards launch, the service needs production privacy operations, applicable regulatory arrangements, identity verification, and a published support and deletion process.
